CHRONICLES OF GARRI AND FISH

Jss2 holiday , so happy to be back home  to peace, no seniors , no errands no punishments everything was just right . Until... this gracious day on the 6th December 2008, around 6:00 pm in the evening i just woke up from sleep and i wanted to eat fish and garri (very splendid meal) at the dining of course , i looked up and i saw my parents coming into the dining from the kitchen with their hands in the air and my mum saying "blood of Jesus God help us ". then i saw guns , then it dawn on me its an attack a robbery attack.

 it was like a movie , i had never experienced anything like this 7 men with guns  for  just a family of 5,they said if we cooperate they wouldn't harm anyone  . I'm sure you're thinking what happened to my garri and fish i left it on the table and lay down flat on the ground well we all did , and we were told to move to the parlor to lay flat on the ground . 

my dad was furious he sat up and my mum was still asking God for help and  so was i, just coming for my holiday from a christian school i started praying as well , then they shouted at my mum to keep quiet she didn't , the next thing i heard PA!!! was a slap on her face she didn't stop praying ,  my dad sat up quickly his face was red , though he is a dark man , my younger brother and sister started crying , they asked for my parents wedding  rings and they asked for how much money we had .

      Did I  mention we had  a visitor who was wealthy he had about 70,000 in his pocket . Our saving grace right? my mum says she had 10,000 and my dad had 3,000 . they didn't believe because of his stature they told him  to bring out the pounds and dollars , he said he didn't have and they set the trigger. I have never been so afraid in my life. my prayer continued he pleaded that how will he see a gun and lie .

 meanwhile , behind the scene one of the robbers turned off the  cooking gas apparently we were making dinner and another stole chocolate 😂😂. back to the scene  my mum said she has gold jewelries  in the upper room , they took both parents upstairs and i heard it again PA!! another slap for calling the name of Jesus and praying . they turned the house upside down turned the chairs over my body.

    At a point they tapped me with a gun to get up. My self , my siblings and the visitor placed our hands on our heads and entered a room they locked us in then they brought my parents and locked us  all in , told us  to lay down but my dad didn't answer  apparently they were afraid of him because of his stature I'm sure he was plotting a James bond move in his head but for our safety he kept t to himself . 

They then went to the neighbors stole from them and locked them in with us took the key and threw it on the road i guess .

Luckily for us another neighbor was entering as they were leaving we screamed on top of our voices so he will open the door for us , he did and our my mum still crying my dad still furious reported to the police , 

It was a day i can never forget , oh yes my garri and fish was filled with ants ...
